Sage, the accounting software giant, is relaunching its dedicated service for accountants.
The Accountants’ Club has three packages, ranging in price from £395 to £995 per year. Members benefit from a dedicated customer service team for the majority of their enquiries. Premiere members will have their calls answered within six rings and a response by email within an hour. As yet, response times for the two lower priced packages have not been released.
Furthermore, members will qualify for discounts on Association of Accounting Technicians’ courses and a discount of 20% on Sage accounting software.
Gareth Rees, the Accountants’ club product and services manager, said that over the past 13 years, the Club has gone from strength to strength, but at the same time, the industry has changed dramatically. Previously, members received a range of discounts that depended on the contract they had in place at the time. The new 20% discount rate is available to all members and provides both them and their clients with real value for money.
Sage recently announced that more than 10,000 accountants had joined the club.
The FTSE 100 company was criticised earlier this year for failing to produce the necessary technology for iXBRL filing before the deadline set by HMRC. It has also been struggling to reduce its net debt. At the 31st March, the company’s net debt stood at £106 million, but the latest interim management statement showed that figure was reduced to £67 million by the 30th June.
